Electrofrog point issue

I have installed Peco code 100 electrofrog points on Neptune Street; points have been modified as per the 'switchable frog option' instructions on the rear of the packaging, the two wires from the switch blades to the rails leading to the frog cut and each blade linked to the respective outer rail, (as also detailed under 'live frog switching and rail bonding' on Brian Lambert's web site). I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but having bulk bought, points are being fitted with Seep PM1 point motors with the inbuilt frog polarity switch, the point frog wire connected to terminal F. I have just completed this cross over but have an issue; with the point thrown as shown, the frog is powered in the opposite direction i.e. as if using the crossover, as opposed to straight on. With the point thrown to use the cross over the frog is powered for straight on, not the cross over (I hope that makes some sense). Both points are showing the same issue.

Have I wired something the wrong way round?

Hi
As these are Electrofrog points I assume you have fitted Insulated Rail Joiners (IRJs) in both rails of the cross-over direction and in the straight rails leading from each points frog on the Vee rail ends.

Re Seeps - Ensure they are fitted 100% correctly and that the built in switch of the Seep is making contact F or either D or E pad depending on its direction set.
If so, then you need to determine which Seep D & E wires are the wrong way around. F goes to the frog wire that the motor is operating.
One end or both Seeps are wired the wrong way around on D & E pads. Which one (or both) you will have to test to find out. If both points do the same then swap around D & E wires on both ends. If only one point end, then that is the end is wrong, so swap D & E on that motor.
Just to note, if the two Seeps are fitted in the opposite direction to each other (pads facing each other) then one Seep has to have the wires reversed on D & E to the other end.

Brian,

many thanks for the advice.

Yes, insulated rail joiners are fitted as described. I feel it's a night of testing.

All sorted; as advised, I swapped the D & E wires on all 4 point motors. Fortunately all 4 were facing the same way.

Thank you.
