Electro Frog Points

#1

Post by SteveMLewis »

I have wired a number of Peco Electrofrog points with PM1 built in switches for DCC control and all work fine. The last one I wired up the frog in one direction is dead so the engines won't run across. I can't seem to see where the problem is and how to solve it. Is it just a duff point or can I solve it with external wiring?

Have you checked that the Seep frog output is actually switching? These switches are known to be rather unreliable.

Agree with Rog(RJ). A Seep PM1 needs to be 100% central and inline with the point above when fitted or one sides switch contact (D or E) wont make to F when in one position!

As your are DCC, you could consider autofrog switching modules should the switch remain troublesome. A number of different makes are available.
