nymr bridge 27

#1

Post by Roger O »

I’ve been following the bridge 27 project on the nymr with interest on YouTube but have noticed there as not been any uploads in the last couple of week's the bridge looks to be ready for the concrete. Does any one know of any progress and why the delay, I’m wandering if the weather is delaying it.

It has gone a bit quiet - like you, I suspect the weather has a big say on what happens this time of year. I did see plenty of snow forecast for this week in the area.

Another bridge nearby, but not a railway one, has just been replaced after 20 years. Whitby now has full access to both west and east piers. New bridge was lifted into place over the weekend and is expected to open towards the end of March

Is the track now going to be single track over the bridge or will there be enough room to move the track over.
