The one thing to watch with magazines they are often put together to a tight schedule and not everything in them is 100% accurate, I stopped buying Hornby Magazine due to the near continuous number of errors in prototypical articles by one particular author. MRCs last editor was Chris Leigh who now consultant editor of Model Rail; again not without errors, the latest one describing a OO track plan as O and an article by Chris Leigh on scratchbuilding a station tails off mid sentence.

I have Constructor from about 1961 to mid 1970s and Railway Modeler from 1961 until about 3 years ago. They are insulating my loft at the present time. Quite rightly SWMBO is complaining and I want to get rid of them.
Free to good home. Recipient collects - Southampton area :(
Will get the bus down from Scotland to pick them up in morning if that's ok Postie.
I would say from that post you were stating out building model railways about the same time I was. :)
