It certainly works on the flies, but it still gets chewed up by an angry trout!!

I have never felt it necessary to coat any of my fly's with anything. Manage to reuse them most of the time without the help of glue. Must say I have never heard of coating fly's with glue in all my years of fly-fishing.

Hello Tim I make my own fly's and never coated them in anything. Never used tooth filling. One good thing living in the country is plentiful supply of feathers around and about.

I quite agree same goes for lots of other subjects often discussed on here. ( edited Brian 1951 )
I was interested in the Bondic glue and the post wondered. But they were talking about the use of the stuff. IE dental etc:
I was interested in the use of it in our hobby but seems not many have tried it out.

But it doesn’t mean that we are not going to try it. I will be getting some to fix the crews in the locos as suggested by Steve. Why don’t you get some and give us your view. Would be interesting.

Judging from Steve's comments, it does not cure properly if the UV cannot penetrate, that seems to make sense, so it seems to me that 2 part epoxy is a better all-rounder. The reason I asked on here was, I thought a few must have tried it out but that does not seem to be the case. Does it walkingthedog. It seems a very expensive way of sticking crew onto cab floors.

You will have a bit more space to play with in O, but I found it useful to hold the figures in place with tweezers and using the other hand to shine the UV light. That will set the glue that oozes from under the figures’ feet.
