Never made any from scratch. They need to be quite tall. I shall have a go very soon. Got plenty of old wire.

Nature does not conform to a gauge. :) Tall trees, medium sized and little ones; they all live together. One tree is not one colour. It has many colours. In a number of trees you will see 'fifty shades of green'. Oh! and no black.

Yes I know but generally OO gauge trees are far too short, usually about 6 inches max for a mature tree which equates to about 38 ft which is pretty small for a tree. We have an oak at the bottom of our garden which is at least 60 feet tall and it isn’t particularly big. So an OO tree should be 9 to 12 inches tall. My O gauge trees will need to be at least 18 inches if they are mature.


I only want 2 or 3 tall trees the rest can be smaller.

It was the same when we lived in Northumberland near the Scottish Border. We had trees in the garden 60-70 feet tall and growing. :)

I'll leave it up to you regarding building the trees. :lol:
