Weathering and renumbering service?

#1

Post by davidrivett »

Hi all,

My dad has recently purchased a Lima green boxed class 40 numbered D335 but would like it changing to D336 with added weathering along the skirts (rail dirt and rust coloured).

Can anyone recommend anywhere that can do this professionally he could send it to please?

Thanks

David

I was one of Steve M's first customers on here and I can only heap praise on the end result. I'm now saving up for the next commission. Saving takes time and I don't get a payment for dishing out the praise here.

I was trying to pre-empt people suggesting I got a discount. The next one will certainly not attract any discount as it will not be an easy job.

The Black 5 was a bu##er! :D

Ian, can you let me know what you want done and which model you already have so I can do some research ahead of time.

Hi Steve

I've got a Maroon (well, they call it maroon) Duchess which I want as 46238 City of Carlisle. I've got the decals for the numbers and the name plates but not the lining transfers, the lining is rather less than straightforward. DO NOT BUY DECALS, etc UNTIL I SAY SO though it might be worthwhile checking out Fox and Modelmaster for availability of transfer sets.

No doubt we''ll talk again about this
