Wykeham - Somewhere in the south!

A new signal box for Manydown (the branchline station on Wykeham) -Bachmann Scenecraft LSWR Type 3 Signal Box SR - it was a special commission by Kernows some years ago, and they discovered they had a box left - so got in quick - they have one in stock as I type this. I am hoping to place a signalman with the token at the top of the steps, ready to hand over for single line running. This signalman is holding the token - I want one with the guy holding it out. Hopefully the signal box will eventually be lit and interior fitted out - may be even some point rodding - the list of jobs is getting longer! .

That box is perfect for that location - a hint of Swanage to my eye.
I like the idea of the signalman with the token - looking forward to seeing that.

Order placed with Hardy's Models - one painted signalman holding pouch (token) and one unpainted footplate crew pack (10 mixed crew) - should keep me busy.

A bit "gimmicky", but I have started adding a bit of detail to the layout and saw these at Kyte's Lights, and thought "why not". I have also re-aligned the pavement, so now have a cab rank, which will be outside the station building when it is replaced. The cabs are Oxford Diecast - for some reason the chassis is held on with a Philips screw and a rivet? With care, the rivet was drilled out, and a seriously "amputated" driver was fitted. I have bought two more cabs, which will get a driver and may be passengers - HO scale "sitting people" fit very well. I have also purchased some street lights - so plenty to do - lights in buildings? I can see that it is going to be a busy little street when you get all your plans put in to place and lights in the shops will make it really magical. Love the beacons on the crossing great work.
