Glad you like the thread, Chops. Clarence Dock/Gillingham Pier just after a rainfall is something a little different. Running trains there is a light-hearted affair when I have 'half an hour spare'. :) Now to move on to the building of the goods loading dock area. :)

Trains have not been run for a short while for one reason or another. Now back up and running. The scenery has been 'tweaked' a little here and there.

Whilst Calder Railway locomotive 'Vivienne' and passenger train wait at the signal at the junction, a Leeds Scarcroft & Wetherby locomotive (in her new Midnight Blue livery) and goods train has right of way.

Calder Railway locomotive 'Harwood' with a goods train for Leeds LNWR Yard waits as a Kirkstall & East Seacroft empty cattle train passes at Sovereign Street Station.

The K&ESR locomotive is a repainted 'Percy' from the Thomas the Tank range. Nameplates have been ordered for it.

Marvelous photos and an abundance of colors. Nice Rocket.
I should rather like to see the real thing, someday.

Many thanks for your comments, Chops and Puddles.

Here are some more pictures --

The early morning Kirkstall & East Seacroft Railway passenger train headed by locomotive 'Titan' is returning back to Kirkstall after taking workers to National Filling Station Number 1 at Barnbow for the morning shift.

I have one section of the layout that is Summer/Autumn and another part of the layout 'After the Rainfall'; I am 'toying' with the idea of another part of the layout with a little snow.

I have started to build a small goods yard at Clarence Dock to increase the variety of wagons etc. and have more trains running.

Small loading/unloading docks big enough for one or two wagons.

In the way things are sorting trucks to the correct dock, it is a form of Inglenook Sidings. :)

I have been 'pottering' around with one of two old Triang 6 wheeled tenders that have been 'knocking around' for a number of years.

A case of 'cut and shut' removing a middle third of the tender and two wheels. Now a small four wheeled tender.

A couple of laps of the layout to check the running.

Now to seal the join, paint it a midnight blue, load with coal and hopefully all will be well.

Sometimes when one feels like having a different train running session, Clarence Dock comes to the fore.

One or two coach steam trains run from Leeds Central to Clarence Dock. The engine runs round the coaches and hooks up for the return journey.
The 'fun' really starts when goods trains are running. A train with three or four goods wagons will arrive from either Crown Point or LNWR Goods Yards. Shunting the wagons becomes a variation of 'Inglenook'. Getting wagons out of the yard before the new arrivals can be placed there is a puzzle and half. :) 'Time can really fly' trying to keep up with a timetable.

A couple of views hopefully showing the compactness of the area.

The fun continues. :D
