on the workbench i have a shortage os solder. What do people buy, and where from, as here, am limited to on line, and know not which ones to buy. john
Re: solder
For electrical soldering try and obtain 60/40 Tin/Lead rosen cored solder. I would avoid Lead Free solder if possible.
Depending on what you want to solder either 0.7mm for fine work of a thicker one of around 1.0mm - 1.2mm for general soldering such as dropper wires to rails.

Re: solder
I guess that really depends on how much you want to purchase? If you only occasionally solder electrcial connections, then its better to obtain a smaller quantity.
