A steam engine on the diesel layout?
I borrowed locomotive 46225 Duchess of Gloucester for a couple of days.
Here she is on a diverted Up Thames Clyde service.
Reminds me of a few years back.
I am 'smitten'.

Look back to number 123 of this thread and see Duchess of Gloucester on the layout.
I must have a couple of LMS locos.
The first of two ordered has arrived to day.
5699 Galatea. Galatea was based in Leeds, albeit only a short while. A few circuits of the layout before photos.
At the crossing next to Roseville Station and school
First run with coaches attached.

A few Steam Specials are now being planned so they fit in whilst running diesels.
Duchess of Sutherland on her first trip with Pullman coaches. 'Smoke' added.
I must remove the front coupling.

Re: Diesels at Crown Point.
A nice set of photos again mate. The ones with the Duchess of Sutherland brought back some memories, I got one for Christmas in 1982 (I think). At the time as a young teen it was my favourite loco. My perants saved up for most of the year for it, my dad was out of work for most of that year so hard enough to pay bill let alone save a bit for me for Christmas. I still have it and it still runs ok but the traction tyres have given up and the lights don't work. I'll never part with it and I always think of my dad when I see it. Spent my summer holidays the following year doing paper rounds to save up for the carriages. Happy days.
