4mm modelling
4mm modelling
Hi with me being interested in steam locomotives and rolling stock. I thought I would model a small diorama of a trainspotter watching rolling stock.
The base is an oak plinth 136mm x 86mm ideal for little model dioramas. The scene is set in a typical yard where a GWR ventilated van has been shunted in.

Re: Kev,s occasional offerings..
Hi some progress has been made on the wagon siding. Track has been glued and weathered and weathering powders will be used to blend it all in at a later date.
The wall section will have some mortar added along the top. This will then be painted up and weathered.
But for now a progress picture..

Interesting project. Are you going for the shortest end to end layout award.

Thanks Walkingthedog, I never thought about the shortest end to end layoutWalkingthedog wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 3:47 pm Interesting project. Are you going for the shortest end to end layout award.
I like to build small model railway dioramas as I find when you come to build a larger layout you tend to loose you mojo .

I suppose you could eventually join them all together.

That has been mentioned in the pastWalkingthedog wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 4:23 pm I suppose you could eventually join them all together.
Re: Kev,s occasional offerings..
This is another build I’m currently working on, it’s a small photographic plank so I can take picture of my 4mm scale wagon builds and locomotives. I still have weathering powders to use on the track bed area and a couple of items to add..

Re: Kev,s occasional offerings..
If you built a layout it would look superb, as long as your mojo kept going

Really like that, look forward to more images and the inglenook when you start it. Very nice indeed.
