Not much progress in Yorkshire at moment but a few old friends turned up ......





My old Duchess of Sutherland (6233) this goes back to 1980 ish. And my old compound 1000 this has a smoke generator in it. Not converted to Dcc, not sure I want.



This 0-6-0 was my very first engine. It still works but again not dcc.





Forgot I had this, an old mainline class 45!

Not sure it still runs, it did have directional lights, a big deal back in the day







A hornby class 47 with the dreadful lines running down the body and a badly beaten up class 08. How things have changed!

Just a couple more golden oldies that may be of interest to some of you guys:-








An old hornby 2-6-4 Fowler tank (I think) dating back to the early 80s. Love the valve gear movement on this loco.
And my old Britannia class "Morning Star" These weren't bad details wise, not as refined as today's but for the late 70s early 80s not bad I don't think.

And an old schools class "Stowe " think this has a smoke generator fitted.








Just a couple of old wagons that may bring back memories for some of you (they did me).

Well I actually did a bit of work on the layout today, not the best result tbh. Thought I would finish off the fence around the yard, spent a age treading the supplied fishing wire through the tops of posts then fitting the mesh. It doesn't really show up unless you get it in the right light





I think future fencing will be more like this

The wire and mesh shows up just fine if you zoom in close enough - well done and congratulations on having the patience to do it!

Both types of fencing came from scalemodelscenery.co.uk they are laser cut from mdf. Can't remember what they cost but they are not expensive.
