Thanks GD. The pins were all I could think of to hold the track down and allow a bit of lateral movement at the same time. I bet other people use a similar idea but I can’t remember reading about it. I’m presently building a pipe bridge and will take a picture when it is nearer completion.

A bit more modelling done. My pipe bridge - now needs landscape built around it. My water tank completed. The pipe bridge was modelled following a visit to my in-laws in South Wales and the water tank was from a photo I found on the net - apparently many industries on private sidings had minimalist facilities and those surviving on a shoe string had to make do and mend. Hope I’m achieving a run down depressing sort of scene cos that is what I’m aiming for.

Hi Bandit Mick, I like how you have modelled and weathered the run down loco shed. Looks really good with the different stages of corrosion going on.
The layout you are building is looking and coming together nicely. :D

A bit more work - had a go at weathering my granite setts followed by a very light black wash. I think it’s come out ok.

I have been watching your progress from the start of your build Bandit Mick and I think you are doing a fine job of creating the scene, it is now starting to come alive and what you have done so far is really good. I am looking forward to watching how it will all come together in time. Well done.

No, my wife’s Year 2 class haven’t turned into railway modellers - it’s all my own mess!

Some quality modelling time this afternoon while it blew a gale and lashed it down. Track and surrounding area painted and weathered. Hopefully looking suitably grotty and industrial.

Started adding some green stuff and further details but lots and lots still to do. Hope this is good enough to post and helps to document the development of my micro-ish layout.
