Hi, All,
I purchased this in September 2018, and managed to programme 9 tracks to my satisfaction.
Since then I had to remove the bridge to complete scenic work, and on refitting have been unable to calibrate as described in the instruction manual, after operforming the factory reset. The bridge just rotates continuously at moderate speed.
I have returned the item twice to Heljan, Denmark, but both times they hasve told me that the unit works for them.
I cannot get it to function correctly, as any programming is not be saved by the system, The bridge will turn under "Prog" and can be aligned with the exit tracks manually, but I'd really like to get it working properly.
Has anyone else found this, I see that in 2016 there were some posts regarding a similar problem.
Many thanks,
Cromwell

Have you double checked the wiring. Are using DC or DDC? If DDC might be worth trying it on a DC supply, could be that their is a decoder fault and the factory have simply tested on DC.

Re: Heljan 99121 Turntable
Thank - you for your post
I've tried checking the wiring, and my daughter tried checking the main cable from control box to motor.
I run on a very old but still functioning Hornby Dublo A3 transformer which gives an output of 16v AC.
I was just wondering if anyone else had found this problem, especially as Heljan are saying that all is well.
I can operate it without preset exits, but its a bit of a pain.

hi, do you have, or can you borrow a better controller. When you contacted Heljan, did you mention the controller you were using.. A H&M 2000, is far more up to date, and i wonder about compatability. Do you have a model shop, who would try it on their controller. There does not seem, as you have confirmed , it is correctly wired, any other immediate solution. If it works on another controller, then you have identified the problem.

If it is truly AC output, then a DC or DCC system may have a problem! I can't find any reference on the net to the specific model your quote - it will be there, I just can't find it! - Can you confirm the model number and that the power supply is running at 16v AC. If it is 16v AC is the turntable designed to run on that and what current (amps) does it draw? (The handbook should tell you.)CROMWELL97 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 10:41 am Thank - you for your post

Ians, agree, hence my view that controller was to blame. The old Dublo ones output in my view, is not compatible. to modern day more delicate equipment. Trying another controller, should/ would prove it.

The instructions are on Gaugemasters web site
https://www.gaugemasterretail.com/magen ... _Ready.pdf
in which it is stated "The ideal voltage to operate the turntable is 15v AC, 500 mA"
and of the control box "The electronic control automatically recognizes the operational mode (analogue or digital) and the digital format
DCC that is run."
