Re: Your latest acquisition
I would imagine that if there are issues it will be either the wheel profiles or the wheel back to back measurement. It could be also something snagging or not enough weight.
It's really your choice. Hornby are being very fair to offer the service to put things right should there be an issue.
About the price. If you are going to enjoy it and use it then it's worth every penny. If you buy and don't get to use it, then your money is better spent on other things.

Nothing like that MG. I believe basically the wheels are too close to the body so they are adding a spacer to make the bogie slightly lower so the wheels are clear of the body.

I have the set in question, runs well no problems, really nice model if you like modern image. The decoder for the dummy car can be a cheap one as it only controls the lights. All coaches in the set have lighting. Length it is the same length as a HST set with four mk3 coaches, if this helps

Hi all.
I just re-joined and I received an Email from Flickr explaining their new policy on free photo hosting ( I thought that I had resigned !)
To test if it still works hopefully I show below my latest purchase - a Trix Meteor for the Trix -Twin AC system.
Regards, Colin.

Re: Your latest acquisition
Just received this lovely bran new Bachmann GWR Type 64xx 0-6-0PT. Runs beautifully and was 25% off the usual price out here. Just a lucky buy on EBAY is all I can say.

I have been very lucky over the past few weeks, lovely birthday present from my wife
of the Hornby Peckett W4 0-4-0 works Peckett '560', and some trucks for it to pull.
And today I received my order of the Hornby GWR class 800, 5 car train pack of
Michael Bond and Paddington Bear.
Will be running both at the weekend.
David.
