Beyond manky. Well done! If there is one thing lacking in model railroading today, it is a dearth of good old fashioned mank. One small step for mank, one giant leap for mankiness!

Quite some boss. My Christmas Bonus was not being sacked.bulleidboy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 5:20 pm It's been a wet old day today, so I have been having a bit of a tidy-up, and also re-arranging things in the stock cupboard. You may recall that I collected loco's before building a layout a few years ago, and working a ten minute walk from Beatties flag-ship store (later to become ModelZone) the collection grew and grew! It also helped that my boss was a French Hornby fan - so it was a surprise at Christmas 2005 when I was presented with this:

This loco joined an LMS Class 5 No.5000 - one of the first, if not the first loco Hornby produced with a DCC Socket:

In 2007 the "boss" presented me with this at Christmas:

A few more loco's that have been sitting in the cupboard for over ten years in some cases.

Where would a collection be without a Flying Scotsman

The Dapol Terrier was a gift from a dear, sadly deceased neighbour. Eric was the south of England Sales representative for Hornby - his "patch" stretched from Margate to Weymouth.

Hi Chops - yes I was very lucky.
In 2008, I was given a demonstration in my local model shop of the new R2782XS BR Duchess Class 8P – City of Sheffield (DCC Sound decoder fitted). I told my boss all about it - guess what my christmas bonus was?

The street lights, taxi roof lamps and belisha beacons are now working. Now need to get some lighting into the buildings - and may be the bus
