Tour Time! See the Sights in Armodilloville

A lot of this ended up on the cutting room floor! I try to keep these little indulgences under four minutes so as to not
murder my audience. To answer you question, Puddles, nope, never worked in the film industry, but film has been a
hobby ever since my Grand Mum gave me her 1939 Brownie Super 8 wind up movie camera.

I was very, very resistant to digital technology, and did not realize for years after it became available, that one could
do digital recordings and cut and edit them with impunity, as one did not have to buy film. A Brownie held fifty feet
of precious film, and when setting up a shot, you'd better be darn sure of the aperture and the mis-en-scene, because
that stuff was murderously expensive and easy to ruin. Then editing and cutting was an expensive and tedious process to cut
and glue all those yards of celluoid.

Fact is, I was such a block head my very first video of a model train was done when I pressed the record button by accident on a
cheap Kodak digital camera and was shocked that I had recorded something in motion. So, several hours of enjoyable run time
gets distilled down to 3 to 5 minutes of something I hope is not too coring, add a soundtrack, and see what it becomes.

It should be noted that when using soundtracks, my intent is to promote them, especially more independent artists, like Caledonia for
one, who do not get the air time they so richly deserve. Like the haunting song, "The Gallery," by Dire Straits, so many brilliant artists
(me, not among that number) do not get their work published because of the nature of how art, and music, is marketed. Any song
I use is purchased from iTunes, and I encourage viewers to explore those artists that perhaps they too will buy their sensational music.

So, you are cordially invited to take a ride on the P&L, a tourist line that will take you to see and hear the sights and sounds of
Armodilloville. Like Narnia, Armadilloville is neither West, nor East, South, nor North, but rather a state of mind roughly inspired
by Monty Python and Lewis Carroll. It also takes a brief satirical jab at a souvenir shop, Yankee Candle, that my sister devoted
many years to becoming a worldwide distributor of wax and kitsch, before they sacked her and used a cheaper replacement.
