Re: Black label problem

Having worked on the roco br10 I just assumed that those would be sprung too.
It’s very interesting as on the rolling road it has a constant clicking noise
My other locks don’t
But when on proper tracks the clicking disappears
Wonder if it’s simply the weight of the loco, just weird as last few times on the rolling road it has been silent as can be
Thanks for the help once again
A little dingy , but I’ll get there

Ok, i cant tell what it could be, unless the valve gear is catching somewhere,

The click appears to be as the weights pass over the rollers. Is there something on the wheel tread. If not I agree with Brian about the connecting rods/valve gear catching.

Having reread the post, surely the clicking is a fault on the rolling road as it only happens on it.

Can I add that it was running perfectly on track?

Exactly Steve. Obviously some sort of interaction between the loco and the rolling road.

When the long con-rod connecting the 3 wheels is up, then the sound happens. The position of the con-rod on the other side is unknown, but assuming 1/4 ing is correct then it will be rising or falling.

It certainly sounds and looks like the position of the con rod is influential in the noise production.

Does it make the same noise with the body removed when on the rolling road?
