Static grass layering spray

Peco static grass layering spray is hard to get hold of locally. Does anyone know if extra hold hairspray would work? I have the base layer of grass down but want to add on top of it. Thanks for your help and hope everyone is keeping safe and getting some quality modelling time.

There are plenty of online supplies available. Personally I would go direct to WWS who make the stuff for Peco.

I’m not convinced hairspray would have enough longevity - I used the WWS stuff two years ago and can still hoover the layout without it shedding.

If you are in the UK Tesco or Asda Extra Hold Hairspray is worth a try

Thanks Paul. I went with the wwscenics suggestion - never dealt with them before but they seem very very organised if their speedy response is anything to go by.
