Not boring at all Jim, we're all still learning
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician

The lighting in the department store is progressing well - the electricians are working overtime! I have just been lining the Manydown signal box roof with my wife's best Bacofoil - it's a great light blocker. It's amazing that a resin roof/wall etc., that is perhaps 3mm thick has a lovely "glow" when light is put behind it. Tip: Best use the foil straight off the roll - not when it's just come off the Sunday joint .

I've often been accused of being too tidy when it comes to modelling - well in fitting lights to buildings means I have to get under the boards, which meant moving a bookcase etc. At this moment I do not have room to move

That’s more like it Barry. Will be worth it in the end.

Department store now open for business - although the light over the store entrance appears to have failed - also the building is not flat on the board - it was - so a bit more work to do, and then the room can go back to tidy The buildings opposite the station entrance have not had the backs left off, so not sure whether they will be lit or not - I did contemplate starting again from scratch with those buildings and incorporating the lighting during the build - jury's out on that idea. I assumed that a department store might have brighter lighting than the library. Barry.

Normal lovely work Barry. The guy in the Mechanics Institute looks as if he wants to go home.

Hello Barry,
That last pic is absolutely superb its got a real atmosphere about it.
Hope you don't mind me asking and suggesting something. I think you use a Canon DSLR from the file numbers, if that's the case have you ever thought of stacking manually focussed images, I have a simple free program that will stack them called Combine ZP written by an insect photographer, you'd be very welcome to it.
Cheers - J

Hi Brian - I know the feeling - many a time I would have to work late, but at the same time desperate to get away and would end up looking out of the widow. The view from my "old" office window - Lincolns Inn by Barry Clayton, on Flickr
Jim - thanks for the offer, but all of my pictures are taken with my iPhone 8. Barry

I thought that was your house viewed from the shed.
What a great view. They obviously had trouble with you walking on the grass.
Many wouldn’t expect that in the heart of London.
