hi can anyone tell were i can obtain a hornby xo4 gear motor puller as i want change a few of my gears from plastic to brass regards bob clifford

Be sure that the new gear is the same pitch. X.04 used brass while X.03 used plastic. I think the brass are 2 start while plastic are single start.

I was thinking the same thing. Plastic and brass can't always be swapped.

The only way of changing the plastic worm for a metal worm is also by chaining the gear wheel to one that is compatible with the worm, unless a third party supplier makes an exact metal equivalent of a plastic X03 worm

sorry if i have given the wrong impression i want to change them off burnt out motors to replacement ones both plastic and brass regards bob
