Thanks both of you - very heartening. I’m trying to depict a cold November day so if I’m succeeding I’ll continue to work on this idea.

Stunningly effective - I feel a chill just looking at it and can imagine an icy wind from the North blowing across the yard....... great job.

Thank you. Yes, I can go with February. The question is, dare I add tinges of white to represent frost as I’ve seen few layouts depicting this. Problem is, I don’t have an airbrush so how do I add a subtle white? Any suggestions anyone or will I spoil what I’ve done.

A bit more progress with my small layout. Recently weathered Peckett stands by the factory loading dock. I have recently dug up some ground cover in order to model some sleepers left over from a now defunct siding as I have not seen this feature modelled very often.

P.S. The colours are a lot more subtle in real life. My lighting pelmet may be a bit strong so will have to experiment a bit by taking away some of the led strips.

I think you should call the layout "Dismal Day". It really is excellent.
Nurse, the screens!

Like it very much. Great modelling and good idea for a different angle of view. R-Bandit Mick wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 3:05 pm Had a go at an arty farty shot peering through the bare winter tree.
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.
