Rail Map Online

You may now about this already, but there is a great website called:

https://railmaponline.com/

I saw an announcement today that it had just been updated so that prompted me to post this. It is a great resource that shows detailed maps of current and closed railway lines in the UK. They also have additional maps for UK canals and some US railway lines.

I find it fascinating and was amazed to discover just how many lines my area used to have. It is also a great source of inspiration if you want to see 'real' track plans from long ago.

I can see a couple of standard gauge lines in my area they did not put in, but it is excellent. It makes me want to explore! :D
