Croftworks Railway

#1

Post by Tom »

Upon my retirment last January I was looking for a hobby and settled on the wallet draining model railway. The room is a converted attic space above my bungalow that I plasterboarded and painted a few years ago. This is the progress so far.......

The helix was a real pain to get right, The instructions claimed it would take a couple of hours to assemble, took me 4 days........

That is amazing and yes it does put a strain on the bank balance.

Goodness me! What a lot of track to attend to. I can quite believe the time it took to do the helix, it would have taken me much longer  . It is very impressive indeed.

That is quite a set up, one thing though. The ballasting is going to be a long long job. I believe it is called character building. ;)
