Milzee, before you go too far with your track, could i suggest you look at peco flexitrack, in yard lengths, approx. Much easier to pin down, design etc. John

Thanks I'll take a look but in order to keep costs down I'll probably stick with the Marklin track I have.

And much better for continuous running. I use the marklin bends that came with mine, but very happy with peco flexi.

When you are watching your Z train running - do you use a magnifying glass? :D
I had enough problems when I used to have N gauge!

Progress has been slow as I was travelling a lot. Elevated sections completed and wiring hidden. Just waiting for the blue foam to arrive so I can start building up the scenery. Track is temporarily tacked down.

Can't believe it's been a year already. Progress has been slow but quite rewarding. Landscaping was finished just before Christmas. I got the track nailed down tonight. Next steps are to wire the points, install a bridge and tunnel portals. Then I can start on the ballast and grass.

Wow, your handiwork is neat as a pin. You are welcome to come and refabricate my poor efforts! Z is such an extraordinary scale, and we shall all be raptly interested in your progress.
