Ooh. I can see a lovely Lima diesel in the background.
Ahh the Z48! (I had to check with a friend as I wasn't aware it was Lima.) it needs a motor in it atm, as the original works have been removed. I'm working on putting a Tenshodo spud in it.

(Just to check. I am referring to the 4 wheeled diesel loco on the left at the back).

Most were Lima sold in either German or a fictious B.R. blue livery and sold as part of a Lima train set. They had the Lima pancake motors which did not have traction tyres as they only had 4 wheels, but if one added extra weight they pulled well and ran nicely if the wheels were clean.

Jouef also made them or something similar, as Smallbrook Studio make a 7mm narrow gauge body kit for them, and they list them as to use either the Lima or Jouef locos as donor vehicles. I have two now waiting for me to have funds to buy body kits for them.
I often keep my eyes open for locos like this for potential 7mm narrow gauge projects.

No, not another Merchant Navy  I have just renewed my Hornby Collectors Club membership and this arrived today - I have been a member since 2007 - so lots of small boxes in the store cupboard.
