Wouldn’t fancy not having a door on my railway room.

If you limit your board width to say 18inches, you can run around three sides of the room, you could go right round, but the door may be a problem - re-hang it to open onto the landing. The other slight problem with small rooms is getting the largest radius possible for the curves. I'm sure you'll be up and running before you know it. BB
The door is on the end of the room and you are right about increasing the room space if I changed door to open outwards. I don't want to alter the door because there is a built in cupboard which SWMBO uses next to the door. If I changed the door I would have to demolish the cupboard as well to reclaim the space. Cupboard space is short enough as it is. I will just make do with what I have and as you say it is space enough to do things with. Thanks for the idea BB.......................John
