Two of my young grandchildren bought me some flowers for my birthday.
I have 'planted' some of them,

Thanks for you comments HD. The flowers had to be planted in a 'prominent position' and a photograph sent to the grandchildren. :D

As for the 'Hunt & Hounds? In a time previous local Hunt would come into our village and receive a drink from the local hostelry. I wanted a representation of such a meeting on my layout.
Whilst reading Rev. P Denny's book about Buckingham Great Central I saw a picture of a Hunt outside an Inn. That confirmed a 'must have'. :)

Love those scenes. Is one of the dogs relieving himself against the corner of the building LOL?

When one has to, one has to!

Three views on yesterday's running session.

Gateshead based Class 47 47404 Hadrian on diverted Leeds to Birmingham parcel service. The many times my son and I visited Gateshead shed we never saw this locomotive. I found out that it spent most of its time around Birmingham. The crews there must have liked it and did not 'send it home'.

Glasgow Eastfield based Class 27 27037 on a Leeds to York local passing Sovereign Street Station.

27037 waiting at the signal whilst a late, diverted Plymouth to Leeds Central train clears the junction. Class 50 50007 Hercules in charge. Class 50s very rarely made the full journey to Leeds. Seeing a photograph of one at Leeds Central gives the excuse for 50007. :)

Great pictures - love the Hunt/Hounds - I assume pictures taken before the anti-hunt protesters arrived

Thanks BB. As for the anti-hunt mob, they can stay away well away from my layout.

Yesterday I received some small items that I can add to the small scenes I do. They need painting, so that's a job this coming week.

Matt Summers is supposed to be tidying the garden after gale force winds 'yesterday'. He stops to watch a nrare sight of the Class 50 50007 passing.

Matt Summers is watching the trains again. This time Class 55 55023 9th Queen's Royal Lancers passes on its way to Crown Point Yard.
 I wonder if Matt would sell his house?
