Re: WEST ORTON
I think the problem with Amazon is they generally give good service and if they don’t it throws you a bit.
Your wiring is excellent Steve. I tend to start out with good intentions then my mind wanders and all is lost.

Nurse, the screens!

I knew what I wanted to do with the control panel but planning this actually kept me awake last night - but it was worth it.
The panel folds out to allow access to the wiring inside. The bottom panel was salvaged from Shaddeholme.

With the temporary schematic in place there are two possible operating positions, although the fully upright one may need resizing.

And when not in use, it all slides away.

Re: WEST ORTON
I'm off to Steve's home to fit a new padlock to the door of his railway room. That should stop him doing too much on the new layout.
As usual Steve, your work is excellent and far too quick!!

Re: WEST ORTON
I think I’ve got this as far as I can for the time being. Everything has been tested as I’ve gone along so it was reasonably easy to find the one dodgy solder joint on the common bus bar for the point motors. I have one ‘sticky’ motor to sort out - probably an alignment issue.
The wires to the switches will be shortened in due course to tidy things up a bit but that will probably wait until I eventually fit the LEDs and that will wait until I sort out a proper face panel for the board.
At least I can test the layout properly as I work round the wiring of the other boards.
