Some good news.

Post by bulleidboy »

I had a call from the consultant at the hospital today to say my Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is fine following the echocardiogram I had in April.
HCM is a thickening of the heart muscles - and it can be fatal - sometimes with no warning. I did not know I had it until an ECG before my hernia op. in 2019 which threw up a red flag. He said he would ring me in two years time as a follow-up. This may be what the footballer who collapsed in the Euros had - not something you want to happen when you are asleep. It's hereditary - both sons have been checked and are ok. :)

Must be a relief Barry. Zoom celebration, perhaps.

Hi Barry

I have a spare CDU that you can keep fully charged for emergency cardiac revival :D
Just of course joking, as I seriously hope you are able to keep well and carry on with life and of course more modelling.

Many thanks for the best wishes. It is not something I have worried about, but when a doctor mentions heart problems - you do sit up and pay attention. It is one of those "things" that many may actually have, but will never know about, and it will never cause a problem.
Thanks once again - I will now get back to some modelling - WTD wants KitKats on sale in the snack bar - there coming!
