Saturday morning treat

#1

Post by Puddles »

Had a nice morning last Saturday, a full scale model of our local station was on display in the local hall.
Every thing was hand made, all the rolling stock, steam trains, railway lines and buildings.
A real treat to see.

The model was started in the 1970s and is an exact copy of pulborough station as it was in the days of steam.
It has been exhibited all over England. The real station is still very much in use and has a preservation order on it.
The layout is DC.

Our Bridemaids husband, was the porter there for many years. Perhaps they should add a little man.

In the third photo in the first post, I especially like the way the Railway Hotel (model) blends into the painted backscene of a row of houses in perspective. Very well done.
