A drop of matt varnish will get rid of the shine.

Looking good Barry. What colour/s are you using for the skin tone? I’ve used a very light yellowy pink, and they’re all the same. Very boring. R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.

Can't speak for Barry but I use Vallejo - three different shades of flesh available but light and mid are best for UK models.

Hi Roger - I've used Humbrol Flesh No.61 and Tamiya XF-15 Flat Flesh - both matt, both acrylic and both look the same :? I did think about mixing in other colours and dabbing it on the back of my hand to try and get the correct tone - I'll give it a try. Barry

PS. Steve's Vallejo flesh tones can be bought in a pack of eight - covers all nationalities :D

Thanks both. I’ll have a few more to do when I get V3 layout a bit more advanced! R-

Latest addition to Wykeham shed - a green 35005 Canadian Pacific. Ebay purchase, weathered and based on R3130XS Holland Afrika Line with sound.

I think it's two Brian - maybe three. As Hornby only produced 35005 Can.Pac. in blue, I needed a green one, so when complete the collection will be thirty one. The guy selling this loco has a large collection of M/N and West Country Class loco's on ebay. They are nearly all based on the Hornby models with the Loksound decoders fitted. Even the postman said this morning "another train Sir!"

I don't think she heard or saw the postman this morning - luckily :o I've just checked my list and I do have twenty nine M/N's, but as one is blue, I'd better say twenty eight - so two to go ;)
