Another stretch of fencing completed this morning averaging 2 feet per hour.
A hidden corner of the layout with hardly any railway in it although I have relocated a sheep from the other layout.

Re: WEST ORTON
Ho Nice, that scenery is fantastic! Like how the colours and tones are so balanced giving a great sense of depth.
Did you paint the back-scene?
Dave.

It’s the old backscene salvaged from the old N gauge layout. At some point I will replace it with a new one but for the time being it’s doing a good job of stoping the scenery from sticking to the shed wall.

Re: WEST ORTON
The use of N scale items on a OO/HO layout done properly pushes the scenery back a lot further than using OO/HO only. You have done that Steve. If you replace the backscene with OO/HO it will appear much closer.
IMHO I would leave it. It really looks so realistic. Just my 2 penceworth.

I agree, it will be an N scale backscene when replaced. This one has just got tatty and scratched and needs to go in due course.glencairn wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 7:24 pmThe use of N scale items on a OO/HO layout done properly pushes the scenery back a lot further than using OO/HO only. Re: WEST ORTON
Well you did a good job of matching the foreground colours to the background, the use of N gauge is a great idea.
Nothing worse than getting things stuck to the shed wall!
Dave.
