Looking good, Steve.

Just a suggestion. --
Before planting the trees to paint the bit of backscene a mix of darkish greens. Anything showing through the trees will be green, giving depth.

As I say, just a suggestion.

In between other tasks (mainly non modelling) I did add some static grass to the buffers. These are modified Peco bullhead versions - two wooden buffer pads, bolt heads and working lamps.

That looks very good - a little bit of grass makes all the difference.

Looks marvelous. Only a model railroader would find beauty and symmetry in abandonment, rust, and grime. Only one small question, are train locomotives only six feet long in the UK? Those tracks appear a wee bit short, as we used to say in Scotland. :)

Oh Chops, you are a wag! :D
When the TT is lined up with the feeder track, there is a corresponding short section at the other end just big enough for a buffer in case of a runaway.

Clearly, my Dear Watson! I figured there had to be a good reason given the extraordinary amount of effort you put in for this charming scene. In the United States, they simply let them either go to ground or fall in the pit.

A little bit of experimentation with lighting for the engine shed. These are LED filament wires, as used in those new tangled lightbulbs. They will become striplights in the roofspace of the shed.

Oh neat! :D Have you found a method of fixing them in place? I guess they can be glued?
