Wow - that is looking rather nice and I think the Desert Sand colour is pretty darn close to what was originally on Western Enterprise……. Excellent job Steve

Slowly creeping up to the finish line with this one. Transfers and etched plates have been applied and an overall coat of satin varnish. With temperatures so low, drying times are extended so I think I’ll leave this to fully cure for a couple of days before going any further. In the meantime I have the buffer beams to assemble and detail.

Nearly complete. All reassembled and detailed before I start on some light weathering.

Some light weathering including a ‘pin wash’ around some panels.
It will stand for 24 hours to allow the paint to fully harden, then back in its box.

Well done Steve, that colour scheme was/is always one of my CL52 favourites. Looks spot on to me.

That looks stunning Steve……. Looking forward to lining it up alongside the rest of the Western fleet.

Great job as always…….. but no more Westerns, I promise - we’ll at least not for a while !

Thanks Richard.

Another one coming down the line albeit a departure from diesels.
This is what £50+ worth of transfers looks like.
