Looking good darkscot. Will be interested to see your progress with the canal as I am adding a board with a canal/wharf in the near future. Sorry for seeming a bit thick but how are you creating the lower level for the canal - I can’t make this out from your photo and am interested to know.

I have cut a section out of the baseboard. The foam insulation wall will form the back and left sides of the basin. There is going to be a canal bridge on the right to mask the edge of the base board. I will strengthen the back of the foam with card and fit another piece of card along the bottom. Then just fill it with water! :D

Despite the glorious weather I have could not resist getting started on my canal wall. Just given it a first paint and very pleased with how it is looking.
I know have to take the dog for a walk, along the canal!
