Until it’s delivered I should be safe.

We’re nearly there!
I have managed to create my own brass strips for the front and rear edges of the cab - gold foil from a pack of Rolos, double sided tape, a steel rule and a very sharp blade.
I have a couple of paint touch ups to do and I scratched the orange line on one of the nameplates - I will patch it with a new section of transfer about 1mm long!
Then it’s just the final sealing coat of satin varnish to apply.

I pinched the Rolo wrapper idea from an Adam Savage YouTube video.
He used to work for Industrial Light and Magic and made many of the models for the Star Wars films. Apparently the foil that Rolo use is the only thing that replicates in miniature the gold foil used extensively on real spacecraft. Looks good on camera but has a slightly Matt finish to the naked eye.

Completed body placed on a spare chassis for the ‘glamour shots’.
I did try to use the Rolo foil to recreate the brass bead on the splashers but that was a step too far - I know my limits.
Once this has dried thoroughly it will be off to its owner.
