Mrs PT's surprize Christmas Prezzie.

Post by Pannier Tank »

I am very lucky that my good lady, Sue, is A) Mad on model railways and trains. B) Hopeless on computers and the like so I can post on line with impunity.

She wanted to have her "Own little loco so I can push some trucks round" but typical of Sue she would not tell me which she liked best (mainly because she could not decided, it's worse than shoes lads!). Any way after a few weeks I have whittled it down to a black loco, then to a Pannier tank and finally to one "like a 57 but with big windows."

I have to admit to being some what relieved at this because a friend of mines wife had spent a while telling Sue how nice A4's are!!!! Any way, yesterday Sue mention having her own loco and I said "Sorry sweet heart but I cant afford one now because I have just bought that 45xx" she looked disappointed but did not say anything.

Little does she know that I have today, thanks to help from a forum member, tracked down and ordered her a Dapol O gauge Pannier, 3716, from Hereford Model Centre and a sound decoder from Youchoos

All I have to do when it arrives is to get it wrapped up and hidden before she gets home. I have to hide her prezzies because she is a devil for opening them, having a peep and resealing them.

John

Well done, Mrs. PT is to be commended on her choice. R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.

I have added a Youchoos Zimo sound decoder, speaker and stay alive. Took a couple of photo's before she heads off to be weathered.

She will be back in time for me to wrap her up for Christmas.

John :)

You'll be in trouble playing with her prezzie before she can. That is a lovely loco and the slow speed control, sound and layout almost make the whole thing real. Stunning, absolutely stunning.
And the Lord said unto John “Come forth and receive eternal life”, but John came fifth and won a toaster!

Thank you Mr Bones. My excuse for playing is "A test run before weathering" ;)
