White Pass and Yukon Railway - Skagway, Alaska

Currently on an Alaskan cruise and stopped in Skagway yesterday where we boarded a train for a trip thru the White Pass, but unfortunately the train ahead of us developed a major fault and we had to reverse back to town after only a few miles

Managed to take the following photos for those interested in American Narrow gauge locos.

Unfortunately not - the cruise schedule did not allow us the time…….. been a bit unfortunate all round as the previous day we had planned on taking the mountain tramway at Juneau but it was down for maintenance, and then our helicopter and dog sleighing trip was cancelled due a sudden change in the weather on the glacier we had been due to fly to.

………. However it could have been worse if something really bad like the buffet closing early had occurred
