Had we been I would have renewed the passport much earlier. Sadly no more trips to Florida - the Mrs does not like nine hour flights - I do miss the sun and the trips to the pool. We did consider, albeit briefly, cruising from Southampton to New York and then flying from there to Tampa - it is only a three hour flight and there are thirty plus flights a day between NY and Tampa - must be like buses :)

My daughter has to obtain a passport for her son (my grandson) who is three months old. Passport office declined the baby's photo as he had his eyes closed! Next one they were open but he was looking to the left also declined. Now it doesn't matter how much you talk to him, he just won't look at the camera full on!! He's 3 months old! What do the civil servants expect? Hold him upside down and possibly his eyelids will fall open and he will stare straight ahead? So, the sage rumbles on and still no passport issued for him and they are due to fly out of the UK at the end on the month!

Barry, i agree with your lady wife, about flight time. My son, is in Austin, and i really cant face that journey. Leg space, is horrible, and guy in front, always puts his seat back. Last time i went, i dropped my glasses and moved about 6 people to find them. Heather disowned me.
