More pictures..... I can't even get photos uploaded on Flickr. The Flickr site is cr@p just lately.

That’s weird. I always have problems with picture hosting sites but for some reason find Flickr a doddle.

I agree, definitely a bonus having the BB code option built in. R-

That looks amazing. Sadly, I cannot continue looking there....

I'll turn a horrible shade of green that I won't be able to come back from!

I've done away with the girder bridges and replaced the right side only with iron plate girder sides only. It looks much better to be honest. I'll upload some more pics before I go to my other hideaway in the Canary Islands next week

I came a cross a problem last week in that of the 16 points on the layout, one just did not have enough room for a surface mounted point motor as it was laid a little too close to an adjacent piece of track so I was forced to "go under" the board. However, the second problem quickly arose in that it was the scissor crossing and was sitting right above a timber joist.

Not deterred I bought a PM2 point motor and set about modifying the joist so as to accommodate the motor. Structural integrity maintained with the joist, a small section of the plastic from the motor was removed too, not disturbing the electrics obviously.

I pre-wired the motor on the bench and tested the wiring logic that Mr Lambert sent me (thank you) and after testing successfully, set about fitting the motor to the underside of the board. It fitted nicely and with half hour to spare, I wired it up to the control panel switch.

Success. One down and 15 to go

Now that I am back from sunnier climates (to the cold), I am making another start on the layout.

I came across this on an interweb site and although the seller doesn't know, I wondered if anyone here would know if this could be used for SEEP point motors. The seller says it's fine for Hornby motors so am assuming SEEP should be ok.

The idea would then to be to make a very small panel for loco control and use this red one for points and lighting. It would save me a huge amount of time (and frustration) building a point control panel from scratch. I'm not too good with soldering you see
