Keep things simple Steve and don’t step outside your safety zone.
Nurse, the screens!

Two wires. Two bl##dy wires! Moving them from one power supply to another - should be well within anyone's safety zone.Walkingthedog wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 7:48 am Keep things simple Steve and don’t step outside your safety zone.
I have proven many times that I am a) psychologically incapable of keeping things simple and b) incapable of completing simple tasks without turning them into something more complex.
Can anyone lend me a straight jacket?

Well it does not offer me adult content...It probably thinks I am past it. It is probably right.

Re: WEST ORTON
I’ll leave the straight jacket for another day - I have five twinkling gas lamps at one side of the station. Somehow I had managed to blow one of the LEDs in one lamp when I was blundering around yesterday. Fortunately I was able to solder in a replacement SMD.
I did modify the connection of the lamps to the tinker modules by soldering SIL pins to the PCB then making up some SIL sockets for the ends of the lamp leads to make them plug and play and much easier to solder under the board.
Under the boards should carry a health warning, and not just the dangers of to solder dripping on me. I managed to head butted the drawer slide on my control panel while emerging from under the station - I now have a 2” gash on my head.

I like the sound of that although I cannot sit still for any length of time - I don’t do relaxing unless it involves a significant nap.

Re: WEST ORTON
After a good Single Malt you will have a good nap OK, dont worry about that. Just hope you dont wake up in the rain.
If you get another hobby who is going to paint my locos.
