Hold them with matchsticks as I suggested. They shouldn’t move apart for no reason. Glue them together.
If you want to be more up market, use cocktail sticks instead of matches.

I’ve started to do what WTD does. My early buildings were stuck down but now I want to add lights which is going to cause problems. Grrrr!
Re: Platforms, Stations, buildings.
A variation on a theme - I put two brass tubes through the baseboard in the corner of each building. I then glue two brass rods in the corners of the building so they are an interference fit in the tubes. The power supply can then be soldered to the tubes under the board and the LEDs soldered to the brass rods in the building.Bandit Mick wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 6:20 pm I’ve started to do what WTD does. Power supply and locating pins combined.

Most of my buildings (including platforms) are glued down.
The exceptions are my goods shed and loco shed which are removable in case of to enable track cleaning or re-railing inside.
The loco shed sits inside small grooves in the surrounding ground , with a couple of small pins at the front to ensure correct location.

All my buildings and platforms are stuck down
because my baseboard folds up against the wall,
when not in use.

B&Q sell bags of small magnetic catches which work in holding my Scalescenes retaining walls and buildings.
I use a dab of Uhu glue and providing you are not too brutal in disconnecting the plate and catch.

I do a combo of WTD and Brian. I don’t like gaps between buildings either.

I always build up the surface around a building either with something like paving slabs or what ever the surface is supposed to be.

What can be annoying is that one may not see any gaps at the bottom of buildings until one takes photographs, and huge gaps are seen that one did not know were there!
Building up the surface is a good idea.
