It has been saying that for a few months. Probably got some scantily clad females on the platform

No idea why it keeps doing that - it’s set as suitable for children etc. That’s why I added the YouTube link - same video, no censorship. :D

Excuse the shaky camera work - this short video gives an idea of the soundscape created for the layout.
There are five individual speakers/players involved. A couple of off the shelf modules in the signal boxes give some ambient birdsong alongside the usual S/B noises.
In the station I have mixed birdsong, church bells, magpies and a horse and cart while at the other end of the layout there is a mix of a fast flowing river and a few sheep. The engine shed has a mix of eight different clanks and bangs plus a steam crane .

Yes, it's all wired so it can be switched off.

A busy day in the yard. Tools, clutter and ash piles have started to arrive.

Very good - there is always "noise" of some kind. If you stand at your front door there is noise, beit birds, train passing, police/ambulance vehicle in the distance and dog barking - it's never silent.
Steve - your platform lights appear to be flashing in some form of sequence :o

Great modelling, like the rack of fire irons - impressive.

Kitted out the new V2 with its detailing pack plus crew, real coal and decoder and now to get it run in.
It’s one of the fiddliest detail packs I’ve seen on a steamer (it may have been my fat fingers that made it worse :D ).
As expected, some of the details cause running issues - the cab doors cause the tender to derail, even on R4 curves, so I may fit slimmer ones, at a slight inward angle, made from plasticard.
Also as expected, the front bogie derails but that may be the huge steam pipes which will need to be trimmed. Having said that, the bogie tends to drop off the rail at one specific place, so it may turn out to be a track issue (quite likely!!). It’s right at the entrance to the main tunnel so a little more awkward to observe and diagnose. It’s also possibly due to vertical interference from the brake rodding as the bogie pivot is a snug fit between the rodding and the chassis.

The loco is a real ‘looker’ though, it utilizes Bachmann’s new clip and plug drawbar - easy to disconnect although more of a challenge to reassemble. Poseable firebox doors to go with the firebox glow are an extra for the cab.
