cut a v in middle of nail. both sides then grow out

Done it all my life. Such a simple solution. Beats having the nail off.

No. the dogs claw cutters. Works a treat. My mother showed me some 60 years ago.

I had this problem on my big toes many many years ago.
Nails off, nail bed killed, no more problems. Big toes look a bit funny without a nail. Never stopped me playing rugby.
