Years ago when Hornby and others started having models made in China I thought that the prices were too good to be true. Since then they have been steadily rising. I think that these new price increases are just just the tip of the ice burg now that China seem to have taken over the manufacturing of just about everything in Britain anyway. History seems to be repeating its self, as it always does. Expect that there will be more increases because of the way things are at the moment. I wonder how long it will be before we start taking back the manufacturing of things in Britain again. Was not that long ago when we were the manufactures to the world. Perhaps history will repeat its self again. After all it normally does.
