It is a fairly rugged mould Steve - the brick/stone size looks more akin to 0 gauge. I agree Brian - this could be an expensive exercise  I will try a few more and see how I get on. These pictures just show one piece of walling standing next to a row of alternatives, so it does stand out a bit.

Looks too toy like . Your layout has fine detail, this looks like it should have knights pouring boiling oli on the enemy :D

Yes, I know what you mean. The other walling I have is very cheap for what you get - almost a metre for £15.

I have not as yet attempted to "weather" the walling. I have touched up the coping stones with a concrete/stone colour, but the walls will need quite a bit of work - still looking at Google Images for inspiration :)

This is at Wycombe. Not a great photo.

I did have a look at that Brian when you previously mentioned it.

Gosh - I have not visited this forum in a while, and I see that I have missed out on many delights. Lovely modelling here as ever. Your model figures are quite the joy.

I think the mortar looks too deep. I would rub some DIY filler over it to fill it in and rub it off with damp flannel. After still damp gentle rub with soft brush if needed. You can rub over the stone faces when dry with soft wire brush if the stones have gone flat. Sometimes a gentle pat.

I'll probably stick with the "brick" walling Sandy. It is finer detail that the cast stone - which now I think about it, would be fine on a country station, but in a town, I think the brick will look better - it would probably, in real life, have been engineers blue bricks.

Good choice Barry. Engineering blue bricks soon change colour to almost any shade you can imagine.
