Sandy Hills The new layout
Re: Sandy Hills The new layout
They are very good Sandy, I have them on West Orton. It is possible to get sets of station signs made up to match your chosen name as well. You may recognise one of the layouts on this page from the forum. (Not one of mine )

Thank you Steve for the link. They are also good value when you think of all the work involved in making your own up. And if I made them they probably would not be as nicely done.

Nice name boards, Steve. I dropped an order on it for Henley. Cost of shipping more than than the cost of the item, as usual.
Re: Sandy Hills The new layout
I only found them by accident last year. They appear to be two layers of plastic, one black, the other white. Then they laser etch the bits you don’t want to give raised white lettering on a black background or vice versa.
Alternatively it could just be witchcraft.

Well, I printed out the station name off a printer, and well, it looks remarkably like a station name printed off a printer. For the time and effort, the nice little sign will be a big improvement. Hopefully, they can spell "Henley."
Re: Sandy Hills The new layout
Engine shed now has gutter and down pipes fitted and doors on the rear end closed permanently. Roof joints covered as well.
I noticed that some dust on the end wall now cleaned off. Soon will be able to move on to building the Station platforms and ballasting. It has been about a year since starting this build so at this rate maybe by end of next spring it will be looking like a railway.
