I think the grey stone works best. What you are building however is coming along really well. I see you have the new Metcalfe building - the model shops in my neck of the woods have none in stock yet. Is it possible to leave off the back when it is made? I am thinking of doing this and then detailing the inside then placing it at the front of my layout so that the inside can be seen from the board edge. Any observations would be much appreciated.

Hi i don't see any reason why you can't leave the back off i got mine off ebay I've added some pictures and building instructions to give you a idea about leaving the back off

Good idea to colour in all the edges and corners with an appropriately coloured felt tip pen. Makes a big difference.
